Our friends at Wise Recycling Ltd tell us that 375 MILLION printer cartridges get thrown away and go to land fill every year - when in fact some of them could be helping to raise money for the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity.

If you buy your full cartridges through Wise Recycling then 10 per cent of the value of the purchase will come to us and when you return the empty cartridge to them we receive 20 per cent.

Take-Back will supply you with suitable boxes and organise a collection when you have 20 cartridges or more.  Also if you have four or more inkjet cartridges please call them and they will supply Freepost bags to send them back in.

World UK Trading recycling is the only company authorised to collect on our behalf.  They will issue an A5 sized leaflet with a bag and their name and address will be at the top of each leaflet.

If you believe your collection has been missed please contact World UK on 01234 783263.  However if your bag is not collected twice in a row then please let us know as well as World UK.

World UK Trading is a separate organisation and is not a department of the East Anglian Air Ambulance charity.

The leaflets will have their collection days marked on them.  World UK are unable to give a specific collection time, only that the bags will usually be picked up between 8am and 3pm.  However in some areas World UK are asking their drivers to start as early as possible so please make sure your bag is outside by 7.30am. 

In addition to house to house collections, World UK has started a schools’ clothing collection programme, which is designed to raise funds for both the Air Ambulance and the schools that partake.

Each school taking advantage of the scheme will receive a donation for every ton of clothing collected. If you know of a school who would like to participate, then please contact Pauline on 01234 783263.

Norwich-based phone recycling company RPC Recycle has raised over £3,500 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance with an innovative, green 'Recycled Phone Charity Return Bag’ scheme.  Under the scheme, the company sends out a small, plastic charity-branded bag with each refurbished mobile phone it sends to its customers.  The bags invite the recipients to put unwanted phones inside and send them back to RPC by Freepost for recycling and re-use with funds raised going to the charity.

Alternatively you could package up your phone, including a note that you would like the donation to go to the EAAA and send it to Freepost Recycled Phone Scheme

Used stamps are recycled by our Ipswich Office (telepone) 01473 745007 or our South Cambridgeshire office - 01763 262697.
