World UK Trading is the only company who are authorised to collect on our behalf.  They will issue an A5 sized leaflet with a bag and their name and address will be at the top of each leaflet.  If you receive a leaflet which you have any doubts whatsoever over, do give us a call to set your mind at rest. 

Acceptable items for World UK to collect are: 

Clothing, Bedding, Curtains, Towels, Shoes (in pairs), Belts

They cannot take:

Bric-a-Brac, Toys, Books, Kitchenware, Electrical Goods

The leaflets will have their collection days marked on them.  World UK are unable to give a specific collection time, only that the bags will be picked up between 8am and 3pm.  There are strict guidelines which the collectors need to obey.  The collectors are not allowed on to private property to collect bags, which is why it is important to leave the bags close to the road where they can easily be seen.  If you have more than one bag to be recycled, black bin liners are fine to use.

In addition to house to house collections, World UK has started a schools’ clothing collection programme, which is designed to raise funds for both the Air Ambulance and the schools that partake. Each school taking advantage of the scheme will receive a donation for every ton of clothing collected.
