All about the East Anglian Air Ambulance
Do you live or work in East Anglia?
If you do you will know that one of the great attractions of our region is its wide open spaces. Woodland, farmland and endless miles of coastline are its chief geographical characteristics. The region exceeds 5,000 sq. miles and has a resident population of 2.5m. But in the summer months the attractions of East Anglia can draw in an additional 2 to 3 million visitors, placing enormous pressure on our roads and infrastructure.
Air ambulance cover can make a crucial difference in a medical emergency. The helicopter’s speed and its ability to access remote areas makes it an ideal solution to the particular problems posed by our region.
The medical profession is strongly of the opinion that a patient’s chances of survival are far greater if they reach hospital within one hour – “The golden hour”. Anglia One gets the paramedic on scene fast, the patient to hospital fast and frees up land ambulances for front-line work.
