Thanks to everyone who submitted a recipe for our 10th anniversary competition ‘Pie in the Sky.’
A special fundraising cook book has been launched featuring the winning recipes, together with signature puddings from the region’s best professional chefs as well as from celebrities and well-known TV foodies. Jean-Christophe Novelli and The Hairy Bikers are among those submitting recipes.
Recipes put forward for the competition were judged by the four chef ‘judges’; Galton Blackiston from the award-winning Morston Hall in Norfolk and star of ‘Market Kitchen’ and ‘Great British Menu’; Jason Waterfield, (pictured) executive chef at Kings College, Cambridge; Stephen David, Chef-Patron of The Crown at Woodbridge, Suffolk and Martin Lee of The Plough, Bolnhurst from Bedfordshire.
The winning recipe 'Madeira Surprise' was served to guests at our 10th anniversary ball on Saturday 9th October at the Norfolk Showground with its creator, Ken Jackson from Sheringham receiving two free tickets to see the pudding served to guests.
We'd also like to thank Glyn Williams for his considerable help with editing the book.
